Band name: Melon spoon
Initial ideas
For this project we were randomly given a band name, mine was Melon Spoon. Our first task for the first two weeks was to create a Logo for our band. This also included choosing a music genre for our band. My first pick was Pop.

I started off focusing on colour and style, trying to capture the initial feel of the band through colour. I would sketch out ideas and later colour them in with marker, I would often use the pink, green and yellow to create contrast creating a "pop" effect, which is what I feel lies with my Band. Through these designs I settled on the theme of excitement and quirkiness.
Digital ideas
These digital experiments included me experimenting with colours and positioning, in the end I liked the colours involved but I wanted to improve the silhouette of the logo.
Refining ideas
I decided to focus on the distortion that a spoon gives when you look into it and focus on typeface as well.
